Chris Rockway & Straight Porn

I was going to omit this information but there's been a lot of backlash from some blogs and online forums, twitter, etc. That I thought of might as well write a piece on the matter and set things a little straight - No pun intended -. I've meant to publish this earlier but once again, I had to have a clear idea of what I wanted to say and where I was going with all this.
As many of you might've heard, Chris Rockway has shot a straight porn video. The news first broke on July 18th when it was of public knowledge that he had joined OC Modeling, - under the name of Cash Hunter - a company that according to them its models "can be booked for many different kinds of shoots ranging from lingerie and swimsuit to Adult video and photos .... Our goal is to develop a web presence for our select models through official personalized websites, live webcam shows and more. Additionally, we keep them on top of their game and in the press with interviews, magazine placement and more."
That being said, I'd like to elaborate on a few points,
#1: OCM is not entirely devoted to represent porn stars. they offer their talent to be booked for different gigs though porn is mainly their thing. So you know, Chris maybe wanted to see what was out there, he got a manager/handler through this agency to expand his horizons and see if he could capitalize even more than just gay porn.
In my personal opinion, what I really think it happened was that Chris' exclusivity with Randy Blue ended and they weren't able to reach a new settlement. Therefore, he explored other options. Remember he's hunting cash and to be fair, aren't we all?
#2: Chris Rockway has always been the facade, a performer - a damn good one if you ask me - he never said he was gay, we have always known he is in fact straight.
In his own words, "is not real sex. It’s a lot of work. Sexually, I can disconnect myself from what I want from a woman, and I can act those things out with men, be physical. I'm straight but not narrow." His thing is dating and sleeping with women. As an actor, he sold us this idea of him being into men, he's been doing it since 2006 and he will continue to do it. Being completely honest with you, I am intrigued and kinda turned on to see him in his "natural environment": with a girl.
Daniel - his real name - has fucked girls, he fucks girls, will fuck girls, and there's nothing we can do about it. So please let's get over this idea of him betraying his fans or turning his back on gays because that hasnt' happened nor will happen.
#3: At first I was a little concerned about Chris' future on Randy Blue. I've been a subscriber of the site for over 4 years now and the reason I signed up was him and he's the only reason I continue on the site. I asked via twitter what was going to happen ans they reassure me he will continue to work for RandyBlue as well OCM. So there's nothing to worry about.
In short, there shouldn't be any backlash to Chris Rockway, he's just a straight male actor doing general porn. He will continue to perform as both "Chris Rockway" for the gay industry and as "Cash hunter" for the straight industry. He will continue to work for RandyBlue as he has for the last 6 years, where recently he can be seen in the liveshows section of the site and hopefully in a new video pretty soon. He still has the whole fleshjack boy thing going, so that should be interesting to follow and of course as a straight porn actor in the yet to be released video for Jay Allan Photo with co-star Chastity Lynn (seen in the picture above) for a still unknown site, but as soon as I find out more, I'll let you know as this site will continue to support the man behind Chris and now Cash as it has over these past years.

Appreciate the support of the CashHunter thing. 7 years shooting exclusively for Randyblue.com, I became very curious what it would be like on a straight set. I don't know where that will lead, but it was a fun experience at the least. I have a feeling a lot of the men and women accustomed to me with other me will enjoy seeing me in this different light. About the spine thing; I don't really have any idea what was being said on the blogs. Honestly, I don't pay much attention because it's a smoothie of fact and fiction that is hard to separate. My medical issue went on a downward spiral and I was immobile and in a great deal of pain. I could not liquidate the kind of money needed to get the surgery promptly, so, I thought maybe the kindness of strangers would see me through. I guess not. I heard the blogs were rough on the subject and I, but I did fortunately get things together just in time. I am doing very well and hope to be back in action very soon. You will probably see a couple photos posted on the Randy blue sponsored blogs very soon.
Just wanted to give you guys an update from the source. Again, thank you to this site and all the fans who have supported me. I really appreciate the career I have had and am not trying to slow anything down.
I'm gay but married to a woman (yes, she knows) and we managed to make two babies, who were perfect and beautiful I might add. I have never hidden who or what I am and the reasons we married in the first place are complicated; however, my orientation never varied when having sex with a woman so why would anyone expect Daniel's to vary.
As Chris Rockway, he has provided a product we have all been happy to buy because he did it well, and he never deceived anyone. On top of that, I have seen some of his posts on the internet and even an something at Randy Blue that frankly impressed me from simply a human point-of-view. He actually sees things in the world that have nothing to do with sex or porn. I was especially struck by his comments regarding the start of the Egyptian revolution, which he was privileged to witness.
I admit that I love gay porn. It feeds my fantasies and provides me with a great deal of visual pleasure and satisfaction. I love seeing uncommonly handsome men, and "Chris Rockway" more than meets that standard. But the fact remains, that "Chris Rockway" is a product, and there is an actual man behind that facade.
If it disturbs so many that he has done a straight porn, then there is a great deal of hypocrisy at work. Randy Blue is a site that has always capitalised on getting straight men to have gay sex. Yeah, I know more than a few are not straight regardless of what they say, but I always knew that "Chris Rockway" and "Reese Rideout" were truly straight. Hell, "Reese" has a wife. Think about Kurt Wilde. He has a wife and children.
Some of these nitpicking queens cannot have it both ways. If they think they are watching straight men having sex with other men, they should not be all Church-Lady when they hear that the straight man has actually done straight porn. Believe it or not, it goes the other way too. Gay performers have been enticed into straight sex on video more than a few times.
It's a persona. I have no idea who the real Daniel is and, frankly, it's none of my business. But, he's loved none the less.
I hope he finds good fortune. (That being said, I think Gay porn still pays more. It's why a lot of fellas move over to it from the hetero side).
There is the political identity and then there is the actual reality of it.
For us who are very vocal and grumpy on the subject, homosexuality has to be portrayed in a way that choice is NOT a factor in identity.(while technically, it is.)And that orientation, is NOT just about fucking someone of a certain gender. A lot of us are interested in romantic/monogamous relationships with men, and we desire the social benefits and rights heterosexual couples enjoy. For example, if my partner is dying in the hospital, I should be allowed to visit them on their death bed. Or if we shared a life together, and have joint property, I should have rights over it.
With this whole idea of G4P, it undermines the political argument that choice isn't a factor in sexual orientation. Also, it ignores the possibility of bisexuality. The reality is, there is a continuum of sexual desire. People assume there is a choice in the matter as a result on this confusion. Someone can be attracted to both sexes, or have some tendencies towards both skewed towards one side, or have a predominant attraction to one and never really experience the latter. And so the little infighting to constantly address this variance is a problem. It also is a slam against open homosexuals, its like the idea of being labeled gay is shameful.
Some of your are correct. This is a fantasy and a facade, a product for you all to enjoy. You criticize those who feel this facade is stupid and demeaning, but what makes YOU SURE that this person is straight? Examples of using a wife, girlfriend, or children are flawed. Bearding is common.
And Daniel, Chris, or Cash, is no different.
So what identity does he go to the supermarket with? What identity does he go to the bars with? Does he change identities when he wants to bring home someone to bed? Yeah, the details are different, but the story remains the same-closet case.
